iD Dunedin focuses on fostering emerging design talent and promoting established designers. The iD events act as a platform for designers to connect, share and collaborate, as well as providing many educational opportunities, through the production of a biennial international fashion event, with a smaller Festival in the off year. iD Fashion encourages and is dedicated to sustainable and inclusive practices in the fashion and event industries and is a key destination event for Dunedin.

The next hallmark iD Dunedin Fashion Week will take place from 1 - 6 April 2025. This will include the iD International Emerging Designer Awards competition and the iD Dunedin Fashion Show at the Dunedin Railway Station on the evenings of Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April.

Entries for the iD International Emerging Designer Awards 2025, in partnership with the Otago Polytechnic, are now open. To enter you must be studying fashion / textile design or have graduated within the last seven years. There are no design restrictions, sections or specifications for collections, other than an emphasis on innovation, originality, creativity, quality and sustainability. Find out more.

Expressions of interest for Dunedin based established designers (or those with a Dunedin connection) to be considered for participation in the iD Dunedin Fashion Show 2025 are open. Designers must be producing directional, commercial and sustainable adult fashion. Find out more.
