Highlights from the Eden Hore Central Otago fashion collection
Eden Hore was a big-picture bloke. In the 1970s he developed his Naseby farm into a tourist attraction that included a showroom of spectacular New Zealand designer fashion. Farm products, such as wool and skins, transformed into dresses and suits, were joined by gorgeous sequinned, lurex and sheer fabric evening dresses and delightful day wear.
Highlights from this collection will be on display at Toitū Otago Settlers Museum from 2 April 2025 until 21 April 2027.
An accompanying book Central Otago Couture: The Eden Hore Collection, by Jane Malthus and Claire Regnault, with photographs by Derek Henderson, and published by Te Papa Press, will be available to purchase at the Toitū shop.
