iD Show Information
We’re so excited to be so near the start of the iD Dunedin Fashion Week !
We hope you’ve had a chance to have a look through our calendar of events so you can get as much fashion inspiration as you can fit in!
We’ll be welcoming around 1200 people to the iD Dunedin Fashion Show and Awards each night, so we wanted to give you some information ahead of time to make your iD experience as seamless as possible.
Planning your outfit
Remember the Dunedin Railway Station can be chilly! We recommend having a warm layer with you.
There are stairs in some areas, as well as uneven surfaces on the platform and inside the carriages so consider shoes that are comfortable as well as gorgeous.
Parking and drop offs
There is no event specific parking, but there are several parking buildings within a few minutes walk as well as on-street parking in most surrounding streets.
The Otago Farmers Market is on Saturday morning so if you park in that area on Friday night, please remove your car immediately after the show as it will be towed if it’s still there when the market starts setting up.
There is no vehicle access to the front of Dunedin Railway Station so please arrange to be dropped off (and picked up) in one of the surrounding streets.
Once you’ve arrived
Please check your tickets and ensure you have the right night! Doors open at 6.30pm and the show will start at 7.30pm.
Please only bring a small bag as there is very limited room at the venue - if you don’t need a bag, please consider not bringing one.
With 1200 people arriving in a fairly short period of time, it can get congested. Please ensure you factor in time for security checks which may include coat and/or bag searches.
Remember to collect your complimentary drink from our fabulous sponsors Quartz Reef Wines and Elta Ego (alcohol-free cocktail), as you make your way to your seat.
If you have ordered a Vault 21 food box, this will be on your seat on arrival.
Vault 21 will have light snacks to purchase at the show, but the show is long so please make sure you eat prior.
Please drink responsibly, water will be available at all times.
You’ll see a VIVA photo wall in the foyer - we’d love you to take photos and share them on your social media, using the hashtag #iDFashion.
You are welcome to take photos during the show and we would love to see these posted on social media.
Your show programme
We’re taking steps towards becoming a zero-waste event, and this year we have a digital programme, supported by our sponsors and designers.
You will see QR codes around the venue that you can use to download yours – if you need help, please just ask one of the iD ushers.
With your complimentary drink on arrival, you will receive an iD cup for your use during the show – please reuse it throughout the evening. You are very welcome to take it with you as a memento but if you prefer not to, please place it in the bins provided so we can wash and reuse it.
Health & safety
If you are feeling unwell, please stay home.
We encourage regular hand sanitising and/or washing while you are in the venue.
With over 70 designers involved in the show it’s set to be a big event! We plan to have the Awards prize giving finished by around 10.15pm.
We are looking forward to an incredible show and to welcoming you back to the beautiful Dunedin Railway Station.
