East meets West and contemporary meets traditional in Xiaoping ‘Fiona’ Huang’s collection ‘A Mixed Culture Capricco’. While visiting Guizhou Intangible Cultural Heritages in the Southwest of China, Fiona discovered the province’s rich and diverse culture.

Inspired by how the many ethnic groups in the area have preserved their time-honoured methods of art and crafts, Fiona’s pieces incorporate contemporary and traditional elements in both design and fabric choice.

Asymmetric silhouettes blend seamlessly with ancient costume in an assortment of fabrics including PVC, felt, wool, linen and antique embroidery—creating a modern collection with remnants of the past.
